My Edifier W800BT Pro review verdict is a buy for flights and music, priced at $49.99 on Edifier’s US store in Black, Gray and Ivory on October 24, 2026. Reviewers praise the hybrid ANC and the sound for the money. The call mic is the weak point, and the codec list stops at AAC and SBC. The buy buttons on this page go to Edifier’s store.
Buy it if
- You want hybrid ANC that a reviewer praised over long flights
- You use an iPhone and want AAC listed clearly
- You want multipoint and USB-C wired audio for $49.99
Skip it if
- You take work calls in noisy places
- You want LDAC on Android
- You need more than around 26 hours with ANC on
- Price
- $49.99 at Edifier

- Codecs
- AAC and SBC only

What I like
- Rapid Reviews UK praised the ANC over more than 50 hours of flights
- Four hands-on reviewers liked the sound for the price
- Multipoint for two devices over Bluetooth 5.4
- USB-C wired audio, with Hi-Res certification in wired mode
- $49.99 at Edifier's US store in three colors
What bugs me
- Rapid Reviews UK and Big Boss Battle found the call mic weak
- AAC and SBC only, with no LDAC or aptX
- Edifier claims around 26 h with ANC on, and reviewers quote specs without a rundown test
- Mostly plastic build that Rapid Reviews UK calls a little fragile
Who should buy the Edifier W800BT Pro?
I’d buy it for long flights, train rides and music at a desk on a tight budget. Rapid Reviews UK flew more than 50 hours with it and said the ANC blocked engine noise very well. iPhone owners get AAC, which Edifier lists next to SBC.
I’d skip it for work calls. Rapid Reviews UK says the mic picks up everything around you, and Big Boss Battle found the mic quality wasn’t great. For the rest of the range, see my best Edifier headphones guide. For other brands, start with my best budget headphones picks.
Is the W800BT Pro the same as the W800BT?
None of the reviews cited here compare the Pro with the original W800BT, so I won’t guess at the differences. Edifier’s US product page lists the model as “W800BT Pro / W60”, so you may see either name. What Gadget titles its review “W8000 BT Pro” and quotes the same 45-hour ANC-off claim and Bluetooth 5.4. When you shop, check that the listing says Pro.
How good is the noise cancelling?
Edifier claims hybrid ANC with a noise reduction depth of up to -44 dB. That figure is a maker claim, and none of the reviews put their own number on it.
The reviewer reports are strong. Rapid Reviews UK used it across more than 50 hours of flights and said it handled engine noise very well. He said it doesn’t feel overly pressurised on the ears, and he picked it over his £400 Sennheiser Momentums to sleep on flights. He called the ANC alone worth the purchase. MrYouWho tried it near a busy road and said it blocked a lot of noise. What Gadget says the ANC blocks unwanted noise, and it likes the ambient mode for hearing people around you at work. MrYouWho lists an ambient awareness mode too.
How long does the battery last?
Edifier claims around 45 hours with ANC off and around 26 hours with ANC on. It says those figures come from its own lab, using SBC at 80% volume. The store headline says “up to 45 hours”, so treat that as the ANC-off number.
For fast charging, Edifier’s store and product page both say 10 minutes gives 5 hours. Rapid Reviews UK, Big Boss Battle and What Gadget quote 15 minutes for 8 hours instead, and MrYouWho quotes 10 minutes for 8 hours. I’d go by Edifier’s own 10 minutes for 5 hours. Big Boss Battle puts ANC-on time at around 25 hours, and What Gadget says a full charge from 0 to 100% takes about an hour. None of these reviewers report a timed battery rundown.
How does the W800BT Pro sound?
Edifier uses a 40 mm driver with a titanium-coated diaphragm and markets powerful bass with clear mid-highs. That’s marketing. The four hands-on reviews are more useful.
Rapid Reviews UK
It says the sound is wonderful for the price and far beyond what it expected from a budget headset. It feels the W800BT Pro doesn’t need EQ tuning, and it rated the headphones 4.5 out of 5. Rapid Reviews UK discloses that it received the unit for review.
Big Boss Battle
It calls the sound nice, clear and consistent. It found the headphones oddly quiet at times with the volume up.
What Gadget
It describes very clean audio, well-balanced mids, and drums and hi-hats that stand out. It calls them a great pick for producers and wanted more bass, perhaps through an EQ app.
MrYouWho
It hears a balanced signature with clear mids, punchy bass and crisp highs, and says the headphones hold up from electronic to classical. It adds that they don’t rival high-end headphones and calls the sound fantastic for the price.
So the reviews point to a balanced tuning, with one reviewer wanting more bass. Bass fans should look at the Life Q30 further down. For wired listening, Edifier says the W800BT Pro supports USB-C audio for music and gaming, and its Hi-Res certification applies only over that USB-C wired connection. Edifier lists 20 Hz to 20 kHz over Bluetooth and 20 Hz to 40 kHz wired.
Is it comfortable, and how well is it built?
Reviewers agree on comfort. Edifier calls the design lightweight and fully foldable, with soft ear cushions. Big Boss Battle describes foam earcups, a mostly plastic build and a padded headband that sits comfortably. What Gadget describes soft leather on the cups and headband, with cups that swivel for packing. It rates the build quality as excellent and found the pads comfy during a hospital stay. MrYouWho says the headphones feel lightweight but sturdy, with very soft pads, and they stayed in place during chin-ups and a short run.
The build is mostly plastic. Rapid Reviews UK calls the materials very lightweight, with a plastic shell that feels a little fragile, and says the headphones held up being thrown around folded in hand luggage and handled roughly by children. MrYouWho lists the box contents as the headphones, a USB-C charging cable and a user manual. No case appears in that list.
How are calls, controls and the app?
Calls are the weak spot. Edifier claims a high-sensitivity mic with AI noise reduction. Rapid Reviews UK says the mic picks up cars, people and breathing, the AI noise reduction did nothing for him, and he wouldn’t take calls on these. Big Boss Battle found the built-in mic quality wasn’t great.
Controls are physical buttons on the right cup. Big Boss Battle lists volume, Bluetooth pairing and play/pause/power, and What Gadget says holding a volume button skips tracks.
Edifier says the EDIFIER ConneX app adds preset and custom EQ, device rename, prompt volume and scheduled power off. MrYouWho says the app adjusts noise cancelling levels and offers sound modes such as gaming and spatial audio. Rapid Reviews UK had repeated trouble connecting to the app and suspected the app itself. Big Boss Battle calls the companion app handy.
Does the W800BT Pro have LDAC or multipoint?
It has multipoint and no LDAC. Edifier lists AAC and SBC only, with no LDAC or aptX. The headphones use Bluetooth 5.4 with a 10 m range and connect to two devices at once. Edifier claims 0.06 seconds of latency with its game sound mode. Big Boss Battle had no Bluetooth audio issues, and What Gadget found pairing easy on iOS and Android. If LDAC matters to you, my LDAC and multipoint guide lists pairs that have both.
Buy nowThat button goes to Edifier’s US store, where all three colors were $49.99 and in stock on October 24, 2026.
W800BT Pro vs W80, which Edifier should you buy?
They sit at the same price point. The W80 was $49.99 on Amazon US in Black and Ivory, sold by EdifierDirect, on October 22, 2026, and Edifier publishes no US price for it. The W800BT Pro sells on Edifier’s own store.

Edifier claims the W80 cuts up to -49 dB, runs 40 hours with ANC on and 65 hours with it off, and gets about 10 hours from 15 minutes of charging. It lists LDAC, and one reviewer’s test ran about 45 hours with full ANC. Its downsides are a fabric pouch, Edifier spec pages that disagree on AAC, and a treble lift that can turn shrill at default settings. I’d buy the W80 on Android for LDAC and battery. I’d buy the W800BT Pro on an iPhone, where Edifier lists AAC clearly. My Edifier W80 review has the full breakdown.
Should you step up to the W830NB?
The W830NB was $79.99 at Edifier’s US store in Black, Ivory, Gray and Sand White on October 24, 2026. Edifier claims up to -45 dB hybrid ANC, up to 94 hours of battery, LDAC, Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint, and 10 hours from a 15-minute charge. I’d pay the extra for long trips on Android. My W830NB review covers it in full.

| Soundcore Life Q30 | $67.99 (Black), Amazon and soundcore.com, Oct 22, 2026 | Hybrid, 3 modes | 50 h ANC on | SBC, AAC |
ANC, battery and codec claims come from the Edifier, Soundcore and Nothing product pages, and the prices come from the store checks on the dates shown.
The Soundcore Life Q20 (2024) beats it on price and lab-tested battery. It was $39.99 on Amazon (in pink) and soundcore.com on October 22, 2026, against a $59.99 regular price, and RTINGS got about 49 hours of continuous playback. It has multipoint and a graphic EQ. Its mic struggles with loud background noise, and glasses frames break the seal. My Soundcore Q20 models compared page sorts out which Q20 to get.
The CMF Headphone Pro is my LDAC pick with lab-backed battery. It was $79 at Amazon and Nothing US on October 22, 2026, and SoundGuys got 43 hours with ANC on. It adds AAC, multipoint, stainless steel hinges and replaceable ear cushions. It ships with a cloth pouch and only a 3-band custom EQ.
The Soundcore Life Q30 suits bass fans. It was $67.99 in Black on Amazon and soundcore.com on October 22, 2026, and RTINGS got 44.3 hours per charge. It has bass-heavy tuning, 22 EQ presets and custom EQ. RTINGS rates its mic as thin with weak noise handling, its headband is prone to breakage, and owners report cracked hinges.
What’s my final verdict on the Edifier W800BT Pro?

ReviewEdifier W80 Review: Sound, Comfort and Value
At $50 or less, the Edifier W80 is the cheapest way I know to get hybrid ANC, LDAC and two-device multipoint, and I'd buy it for an Android phone. iPhone owners, frequent flyers and anyone who needs a hard case should buy something else.
GuideCan you use LDAC and multipoint at the same time?
The Baseus Inspire XH1 can keep LDAC on with two devices connected. The Space Q45, Space One, Space One Pro, Sony XM4 and ULT WEAR make you choose.
