The best Edifier headphones for most people are the W830NB, at $79.99 at Edifier’s US store on October 24, 2026. If you shop Edifier direct with $50, I’d buy the W800BT Pro ($49.99 at Edifier’s US store on October 24, 2026). If you shop Amazon and use Android, the W80 ($49.99 on Amazon US on October 22, 2026) adds LDAC at the same price. For more money, I’d pick the ES850NB ($169.99 at Edifier’s US store on October 24, 2026) for multipoint and LDAC in a design Edifier pitches as lightweight. The WH950NB Gen2 ($199.99 at Edifier’s US store on October 24, 2026, Ivory in stock and Black sold out) is the pick for Edifier’s leather and memory foam ear cushions. If you’re open to other brands, my best budget headphones picks rank pairs from Sony, Soundcore and others.

Which Edifier headphones have the best noise cancelling?
The W820NB Plus beat the W830NB on noise cancelling in SoundGuys’ lab, and it’s the one I’d buy for ANC under $100. SoundGuys scored the original W820NB Plus 8.4 out of 10 for noise cancelling, above average and ahead of 57% of the over-ear headphones it has tested. It scored the W830NB 7.6 out of 10, below average and ahead of 24%. In its W830NB review, SoundGuys says the cheaper W820NB sibling reduces a wider range of low frequencies. Its W820NB Plus review says the ANC appears tuned around 100 Hz, which makes it very effective against engine noise.
What Edifier claims
Edifier claims up to -49 dB for the W80, up to -45 dB for the W830NB and ES850NB, up to -44 dB for the W800BT Pro and up to -43 dB for the W820NB Plus. Edifier says the W830NB and W820NB Plus figures come from Edifier Lab. The WH950NB Gen2 listing names four mics with AI processing and gives no dB figure.
What reviewers measured
Headphones Addict measured average active noise cancellation of 6.22 dBA on the W820NB Plus and average passive isolation of 14.57 dBA. It found a maximum reduction of about -35 dB, mostly passive, and low-frequency ANC of around -10 dB, so some cabin noise stays audible on a flight. In the same January 2024 review, Headphones Addict said the original WH950NB beat the W820NB Plus on ANC in every aspect.
ASR gave only a listening impression of the W830NB’s ANC, with no measurement. Its reviewer found the passive blocking very good and said turning on noise cancelling roughly halved the remaining noise to nearly inaudible. For the W800BT Pro, Rapid Reviews UK said the ANC blocked engine noise very well across more than 50 hours of flights.
Are Edifier headphones good?
Yes for sound per dollar, with weak mics and plastic builds as the trade-offs. audioXpress reports that Edifier started in Beijing in 1996 and that its shares have traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange since 2010.
On sound, SoundGuys gave the original W820NB Plus an MDAQS score of 4.8 out of 5, ahead of 96% of the over-ears it has tested, and the W830NB 4.4 out of 5, ahead of 70%. ASR is harsher on the W830NB. It measured large peaks and dips in the treble, so a note can sound bright or muffled depending on where it lands, and it didn’t recommend the pair at default settings. Asked in a follow-up whether he’d recommend it with EQ, the reviewer said yes, if the comfort and reliability are there. ASR called it an incredible bargain at sale prices under $70.
On build, SoundGuys found the W830NB mostly plastic, with creaks and rattles, no case and no IP rating. Headphones Addict flagged sharp plastic corners and a strong clamp on the W820NB Plus. Rapid Reviews UK said the W800BT Pro’s plastic shell feels a little fragile but held up in hand luggage on planes.
Mic results are weak across the line. SoundGuys found the W830NB struggled with background and wind noise. Rapid Reviews UK said the W800BT Pro’s mic picks up everything around you, and Headphones Addict found voices muffled in noisy places on the W820NB Plus.
Edifier W820NB Plus vs W830NB, which should I buy?
I’d buy the W830NB for most people, and the W820NB Plus only if you listen on one device and care most about sound and ANC scores. The current US version is the W820NB Plus v25, at $89.99 at Edifier’s US store on October 24, 2026, with Dark Gray sold out and Ivory, Smoky Pink and Navy blue in stock. That puts it above the $79.99 W830NB.
| Spec | W820NB Plus | W830NB | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price at Edifier US (Oct 24, 2026) | $89.99 (v25) | $79.99 | Edifier US store |
| SoundGuys ANC score | 8.4/10 | 7.6/10 | SoundGuys |
| SoundGuys MDAQS sound score | 4.8/5 | 4.4/5 | SoundGuys |
| Battery, ANC on | 31 h 49 min (SoundGuys test), 33 h 20 min (Headphones Addict test) | 54 h claimed, not tested by SoundGuys | Reviewers, Edifier |
| Multipoint | None | Two devices | SoundGuys |
| EQ | Four presets, no custom EQ | Four-band parametric EQ | SoundGuys |
| Bluetooth | 5.2 | 5.4 | Edifier |
| Weight | 221 g | 267 g | Edifier |
| Folding | Cups rotate flat, no fold | Folds | SoundGuys |
The table draws on SoundGuys’ W820NB Plus review, SoundGuys’ W830NB review, Headphones Addict and Edifier’s product pages. The reviews cover the original W820NB Plus. SoundGuys’ lab widget lists battery as not measured, and its review text reports the 31 h 49 min result.
The v25 store listing claims up to 88 hours with ANC off. Edifier’s older W820NB Plus page claims about 49 hours with ANC off and 33 hours with ANC on. In its W820NB Plus review, SoundGuys pointed to the W830NB as the alternative with longer battery life, slightly better noise canceling and Bluetooth 5.4. That ANC remark sits oddly next to SoundGuys’ own scores of 8.4 for the W820NB Plus and 7.6 for the W830NB.
Headphones Addict highly recommends the W820NB Plus for excellent sound under $100, and it found that Windows 11 recognized the pair only as a mic over USB-C. Major HiFi called it one of the best wireless headphones under $100 and praised the comfort. Its body text calls the pair the W820NB and lists only SBC and Bluetooth 5.0, which conflicts with Edifier’s LDAC, SBC and Bluetooth 5.2 listing for the Plus.
Which Edifier headphones work best with an iPhone?
For an iPhone, I’d buy the W800BT Pro to save money, or the W830NB for its longer battery claim. Edifier lists AAC for both. LDAC is the headline codec on most of the line, and Edifier says it works only with Android devices.
The W80 lists AAC on Edifier’s US spec sheet only, and its global page lists LDAC and SBC. Edifier’s W820NB Plus page lists LDAC and SBC, and the review text from SoundGuys and Headphones Addict mentions AAC. The WH950NB Gen2 and ES850NB store listings name LDAC and no other codec. My LDAC and multipoint guide explains when each feature matters.
Outside Edifier, the Sony WH-CH720N lists SBC and AAC with two-device multipoint, at $89.99 at Sony US on October 22, 2026. My Sony WH-CH720N review covers it.

The Edifier W830NB is worth buying at $79.99 (Edifier US, October 24, 2026) for its long claimed battery life, LDAC and multipoint, if you'll EQ the treble. Its ANC scored below average at SoundGuys.
ReviewEdifier W800BT Pro Review, Cheap Flight ANC With a Weak Mic
I'd buy the Edifier W800BT Pro at $49.99 (Edifier US, October 24, 2026) for flights and music on an iPhone. Reviewers praise its ANC and sound, and two found the call mic weak.
ReviewEdifier W80 Review: Sound, Comfort and Value
At $50 or less, the Edifier W80 is the cheapest way I know to get hybrid ANC, LDAC and two-device multipoint, and I'd buy it for an Android phone. iPhone owners, frequent flyers and anyone who needs a hard case should buy something else.
GuideCan you use LDAC and multipoint at the same time?
The Baseus Inspire XH1 can keep LDAC on with two devices connected. The Space Q45, Space One, Space One Pro, Sony XM4 and ULT WEAR make you choose.
